Gregory Finkelson Devises Brilliant Plan To End Shutdown

Dr. Gregory Finkelson

Overview

The current U.S. government shutdown has become the longest in the country’s history.

President Trump has refused to approve funding for the U.S. government that doesn’t include funding for the construction of a wall along the southern border of the United States, shared with Mexico.

Trump believes that such a wall would drastically decrease the volume of illegal immigration to the United States from Central and South American countries.

A Nationwide Stalemate

Party leaders on both sides of the political aisle have met with difficulty in their attempts to bargain and negotiate with the President to find a funding program that offers compromises to everyone involved.

The resulting stalemate has left thousands of government workers around the country without pay. This includes the TSA, an agency vital to preserving security onf flights departing from every airport in the country.

Certain local and state governments have approved gap funding for government employees within their jurisdictions. But this has not proven to be a widespread solution in many cases.

Many American citizens have assumed themselves to be removed from these discussions and as such have not offered any potential solutions to the shutdown.

Dr. Gregory Finkelson Has A Plan To Build The Wall

This has not been the case with Dr. Gregory Finkelson, President of American Corporate Service, Inc., an international business consultancy based in San Francisco, California.

Dr. Finkelson is himself an immigrant, originally from Russia. He has spent his career studying the relationships between immigration and business.

In response to the government shutdown, Dr. Finkelson has composed an open letter to President Trump, offering a streamlined solution to the shutdown by devising a means for China to pay for the construction of the border wall.

We have published Dr. Finkelson’s letter in its entirety below, in the interest of promoting a possible solution for the longest U.S. government shutdown in history. You can view the original letter on Business Visa USA.

An Open Letter to President Donald Trump From Dr. Gregory Finkelson: The Chinese Will Pay for the Wall

Dear President Trump,

We believe that presidential candidates should keep their promises once elected to office.

We believe that it is against the spirit of our Republic for an opposing party to stonewall our President when he attempts to deliver the promises that got him elected.

We believe that immigration to the United States is not a right, but a privilege.

We believe that, as the defender of the Constitution of the United States of America, the President is responsible for keeping and maintaining our well-being and promoting the public welfare by whatever means necessary.

This includes protecting our borders from foreign nationals seeking to enter our country illegally.

While we admire your stand and your commitment to keeping your promise of building a wall on the U.S.-Mexican border, we empathize with the thousands of government employees who are either furloughed or working without pay.

We believe that we have a workable solution for funding the border wall – one that can get the wall built and make it possible to end the temporary, partial government shutdown.

Introduce an EB-5W (Wall) Investment Immigration Visa Program

We believe that Congress has proven its inability to address substantial immigration reform.

We believe that the Executive Branch may have the authority to create a special EB-5W Investment Immigration Visa Program that operates within the general guidelines of the current EB-5 program, if only for a limited period of time.

We believe that tens of thousands of foreign national investors in China and other countries could be the source of funding for the wall.

Using the current EB-5 minimum investment of $500,000, the $5 billion required to build the wall could be raised with the support of only 10,000 qualified investors.

There are an estimated 140,000 high-net-worth investors interested in the EB-5 program.

Temporarily rescinding the annual cap of 10,000 EB-5 recipients would allow investors who are weary of waiting for years to gain near-immediate access to legal immigration by investment within a very short period of time – and 100% of their investment would fund the construction of the wall.

We recommend making this $500,000 investment non-refundable, in exchange for temporarily rescinding the annual country cap of 10,000 EB-5 visas and premium (15 calendar days) processing fees.

Canada has successfully proven the concept with a similar approach whereby immigrant investors fund government-sponsored capital projects.

We believe that a temporary EB-5W Visa Program allowing 10,000 investors and their immediate family members (spouse and minor children) to immigrate would also contribute a major boost to the American economy.

These people will not become a burden on the government but will purchase luxury real estate, establish legitimate businesses, create more jobs for Americans, and contribute to the well-being of the communities in which they reside.

Our experienced legal team would be happy to discuss this idea with you and members of your administration.

We believe the wall should be built, can be built, and can be fully funded through an EB-5W Investment Immigration Visa Program.

Best regards,

Dr. Gregory Finkelson
